Desperately Seeking ______________ on Sale...

What are you desperately seeking on sale?

Food Therapy

Good food is as satisfying as a good sale. So from time to time (probably more than that because I'm a foodie and I love to eat), I'll be providing some food therapy. Be forewarned, I'm an adventurous eater with a HUGE sweet tooth. If you're in NYC, I hope you try some of these spots. If you do, LMK what you think. Bon appetit!

Video Reviews

While picture reveals of bags are nice. Video reviews of bags are better! As such, I will endeavor to post as many video reviews of bags as possible. However, I will only be reviewing bags that I like. Life is too short to review bags that I dislike. Plus, at the end of the day, it really is just a matter of personal opinion/taste.

There's a Fine Line...

Did somebody say Repetto?

Happy feet = happy me...and Repetto flats = happy feet!  So it's a happy me posting's sale on Repetto flats.  Various colors are available at 50% off ($122.50).

Create Your Own Chocolate Bar

So this has nothing to do with sales but everything to do with chocolate and therapy!  A good friend of mine has very recently introduced me to this fantastic website where you can create your own chocolate bar (something that I have been dreaming about for years!):  I am a chocoholic and I especially have no shame when it comes to dark chocolate.  Here's my creation:  dark chocolate base with blueberries, toasted hazelnuts, gold flakes (why not?), muesli and candied lilacs!

Hi-Lo: Mix It Up!

I love luxury items as much as the next girl but some of the cutest stuff that I've purchased have been from Target.  Yup, Target!  I've received many a complements on dresses and tops from that super store.   I love the disbelieving looks when I tell people that I purchased my dress/top from Target.  Take that - Saks!

Mixing Hi-Lo is a must, especially in this economy.  And if you mix it right, you'll look Hi only.  I like to purchase trend-inspired pieces (which really translates to disposable pieces) at H&M, Zara and Target.  Since it's a trend, I don't really care if the item (dress, top, or accessory) is going to last.  It'll be out of style soon anyways.  Just be sure that if it's an accessory, it doesn't look poorly made.  That will just make you look cheap.  Old Navy is a personal favorite of mine for basics:  tank tops and long sleeve shirts (great for layering).  Their swimwear line isn't too shabby either.

TWO things that should ALWAYS be Hi are the bags that you carry and the shoes that you wear.  And Hi can mean contemporary/independent designers, not just your standard luxury brands.  Ok, ok...two other things that should be Hi are your jeans and your winter coat.  For some reason, designer jeans just fit better...whether it's the color, cut or fabric.  They make your butt look really really good - that's priceless!  As for your winter coat, it's something you wear every day during the winter and it's one of the first things that other people will see when you meet.  More people will see you in your winter coat than your outfit for the day...think on that.

Another Vavavoom Dress from Herve Leger

If you're still on the hunt for a HL Valentine's Day dress...this one may be it! has this dress on sale for $749.83.  I am soooo liking the zipper detail.  It has so many naughty possibilities, KWIM?

Hello...Loeffler Randall

Since Loeffler Randall came out in '05, I've been drooling after their shoes/boots.  And then they added bags and clothes.  It just keeps on getting better and better!  So here are my sale picks:

  •  Jinx Mid Boot ($363) in fawn patent (with snake embossment).  I have a pair in regular leather (same color) and they are ridiculously comfortable.

  •  Riley Boot ($413) in black suede.  I'm not crazy about the OTK boot trend but if I had to pick a pair, these would be it!
  •  Matilde Boot in black patent ($348) and taupe leather with snake embossment ($388).
  •  Marti Flat Buckle Boot in black ($448) and birch ($448).  Update (2/1): You can find the black version for $358 at
    •  Cale Mid Flat Buckle Boot in black ($398) and birch ($398).
    • Sweater Dress ($219.99) in taupe.  A no brainer for the office!
