Check out the Clearance racks of your local T.J. Maxx (yes, T.J. Maxx) for Vince sweaters/cardigans from last year's fall/winter collection ($49-$79). Since most Vince sweaters/cardigans are pretty similar from year-to-year (comfy classics!), does it really matter that you're purchasing last year's fall/winter collection? I think not. You'll still be stylin' and no one will be the wiser. (I checked out Vince sweaters/cardigans from The Runway section of T.J. Maxx, and the prices aren't that much cheaper than sale prices at Saks or Nordies.)
Note: Before you know it, Valentine's Day and Wedding Season will be upon us. You'll need a shrug to keep you warm. Saks currently has the Vince Drape Flip Shrug on sale for $128.24. As of right now, this is the lowest that I've seen it priced. This is a great alternative to a wrap and you won't have to worry that it will fall off your shoulders. It comes in three colors: black, granite and walnut.
Update (1/28): Bloomingdale's is offering an extra 25%-40% on select items. This knocks a few $$ off the Vince Drape Flip Shrug and makes it $119.70...but only granite and walnut are available at bloomingdales.com.
Update (1/30): I've just noticed that Saks has increased the sale price of the Vince Drape Flip Shrug to $170.99. Huh...why?? If you're not looking for it in black, stick with Bloomie's.
