Desperately Seeking ______________ on Sale...

What are you desperately seeking on sale?

Food Therapy

Good food is as satisfying as a good sale. So from time to time (probably more than that because I'm a foodie and I love to eat), I'll be providing some food therapy. Be forewarned, I'm an adventurous eater with a HUGE sweet tooth. If you're in NYC, I hope you try some of these spots. If you do, LMK what you think. Bon appetit!

Video Reviews

While picture reveals of bags are nice. Video reviews of bags are better! As such, I will endeavor to post as many video reviews of bags as possible. However, I will only be reviewing bags that I like. Life is too short to review bags that I dislike. Plus, at the end of the day, it really is just a matter of personal opinion/taste.

Food Therapy: Two Very Scrumptious Cakes

Scrumptious Cake 1:  Chocolate Blackout Cake
My FAVORITE cake comes from a diner...Brooklyn Diner
to be exact. And Brooklyn Diner is not located in Brooklyn but in Manhattan. There are two locations but I usually go to the one at 212 West 57th St (b/w Broadway and 7th Ave). But back to the cake: it's a fabulous, dreamy, perfect Chocolate Blackout Cake. As described by the menu: three layers of moist, rich chocolate cake, chocolate ganache, and chocolate butter cream frosting. It's the perfect ratio of chocolate cake (which really is moist), chocolate ganache and chocolate butter cream frosting. When I have a craving for this cake, NOTHING else will do. My bf has learned this the hard way. ;) If you are a chocoholic, you must try a slice of this chocolate perfection.
(Note: Picture to follow. Yes, that means I'm going to get a slice soon!!)

Scrumptious Cake 2:  Mille Crepes Cake
A close second is the Mille Crepes Cake from the gourmet patisserie Lady M Confections, which is located at 41 East 78th St (Madison Ave & Park Ave). The Mille Crepes Cake consists of approximately 20 layers of thin crepes layered with an "ethereally light and creamy custard." It's light and fluffy...and just sort of melts in your mouth. If you're throwing a dinner party, this is an impressive-looking/unique cake that will please almost everyone. It's not too sweet nor too heavy.
